What Really Happened

It's always so hard getting good Christmas card photos. Before we even had kids, we would take 20+ shots trying to get a good one. That's why we decided to only do the kids this year; Andy could run the camera and I could wipe drool, straighten shirts and try to make them smile. We got a couple good shots and I used a little photoshop magic to get the final picture. It wasn't quite as grueling as I thought it would be. :)

Jake is trying...:)

Kelley Khaos

This is often what happens in the evening after Daddy gets home. Jake LOVES to rough-house. Andy is talking about tapirs, chinchilas and narwals -- random animals from books we read and Diego videos. :) And I just let Max fuss in the background. Poor little guy...I tend to tune it out (2nd baby syndrome).

Da-da-da

This is new within the last 2 days. Forever he was only doing vowel sounds - different variations of "aah-uh-aah." Monday he discovered that he can move his jaw and "d" to make new sounds! So fun...

Recent Kelleys

Morning rumble.
At Grandpa Clay's house over Thanksgiving.

Jake is so funny -- everything he does is boy. Every night he gives me a "hard hug and a hard tiss" -- squeezing really tight.
Here he's getting Max.
He also knows to be gentle (with Max and me - always more rough with Daddy). With Max he wants to squeeze hard but eases up a bit and quivers with gritted teeth. :)
Max loves peek-a-boo lately. I got him to smile over and over for the camera this way. I love these sweet baby laughs!

Daddy Sleepers

I ran across these the other day. Which is which?
This is the most resemblance I've seen in them...
Jake, 8 weeks
Max, 1 week
And oh, the days when they would fall sleep on us! :)

Two Different Kelley Boys

People have asked if Jake and Max look much alike.
Above is Jake at 13 weeks.

This is Max at 13 weeks.

Jake at 5 1/2 months.
Max at 5 1/2 months.

Jake, 3 years & Max, 6 months

Max is such a sweetie. My mom says he smiles just to make you feel good. :)

Funny face. He doesn't love tummy time but he'll stay happy for a few minutes.

For Jake's 3rd birthday Andy and I got him a bike. This was the first time we took it out to the park and he loved going faster and farther than me and Max in the stroller.

Crash. He had a little scrape and lost a shoe but got right back up.

Can't believe how big he is...

Fall Festival Fun

At Jake's school's fall festival. Jake chose to be a t-rex (same as last year). Max was supportive of his brother with the matching dino shirt. Max thinks Jake is the best thing ever.

Getting Up With the Times

As I was having fun reading some friends' blogs, Andy, looking over my shoulder said, "You should get a blog. You'd have fun." I thought so too. Not really sure how to do this, but we'll try. I think the most fun will be sharing pictures of our little squirts. :)
